Why can’t I just use a Facebook Page for my website?

Is your advertising working?

If Facebook is the only platform you use to communicate about your business, you’re missing out on large groups of potential customers.

Facebook as a website?

It’s free, everyone uses it, it’s easy to update…why can’t I just use Facebook as my website?

You don’t control Facebook.

I see a lot of people just decide to use Facebook as their website. The number one reason against using Facebook as your only customer facing place for information is that you don’t control Facebook. As of Q4 2022, Facebook stocks have plummeted, as a consumer you have no idea what changes they’ll start making to their platform and pricing.

You need to control your website. Your website should be able to meet your changing needs and travel with you whatever technological changes happen in the future.

Not everyone uses Facebook.

More and more people are deleting Facebook from their phones. Regardless of the reason, if Facebook is the only platform you use to communicate about your business, you’re missing out on large groups of potential customers.

You’re better than that.

Your business deserves to be positioned on the online marketplace in the best way possible. You work so hard, why just give up on where 90% of commerce happens in today’s world?

Traditional Websites are less confusing.

Back in 2004 when Facebook took on with the masses it was way easier to make a Facebook page than to build and maintain a traditional website. Today’s options for website building are simple and more turnkey. Plus, Facebook is constant changing their user-interface and more and more people are needing to hire an expert just to make sense of the platform as a business owner.

Have you ever tried to use Facebook support?

Finally, have you ever tried contacting Facebook support? I’m not entirely convinced they even have a support team. Going with a simple, local option (like CherryRoad) gives you support both technically and strategically.
